Crown-Reduction
Tree crown reduction is the process of removing branch tips, pruning back to a growth point further down the branch. Pollarding is a pruning system involving the removal of the upper branches on a tree, which promotes the growth of a dense head of foliage and branches. The technique is often used on trees growing in areas where they cannot be allowed to grow to their full size or in many cases for aesthetic pleasure.
